Polycarbonite Lenses

Our VSP vision insurance plans includes full polycarbonate lense coverage for children. Polycarbonate lenses are regarded as the safest lens for children, and and offer 10 times the impact resistance to most plastic lenses. Polycarbonate lenses are also thinner, lighter, and have additional UV and scratch resistanct qualities.

Although no lens is 100% scratch proof, polycarbonate lenses come with a scratch-resistant coating to keep them as clear as possible. They offer inherent ultraviolet protection, as 99% of the potentially damaging UV rays are filtered out by these lenses whether the these UV rays come from direct sunlight, fluorescent lights, or a computer screen.
